Apollo is based upon a real horse named Apollo. Apollo is silly, loving and a great best friend just like he is in the book.
JERRY
Jerry is based upon Marin's dad Jerry. Jerry is intelligent, witty and fun just like Marin's dad was.
LUCY AND BATIN
Lucy is based upon Marin's cat Lucy. Lucy was very sweet and cuddly.
Batin is based upon a stuffed animal bat Marin's daughter got while on a trip to West Virginia. Batin is that one friend who makes everything fun.
